Well, here we are ....
I will be 33 weeks in just a couple days ... It's kind of hard to believe we've made it this far!!
I'll start off by updating about the septal defect Found on one of the babies... As of right now it is still slightly there and the follow up echocardiogram was kind of inconclusive , so afterbirth that there will be an echocardiogram and a full pediatric cardio work up... So far it seems to be small enough that it wouldn't cause any issues long . Thank goodness for that!!!
After we got the news about the echo we had a growth scan about a week or so later ... The babies at that point my measuring pretty small and were borderline IUGR status. For those of you who don't know it stands for intrauterine growth restriction . Basically they were not growing at an appropriate rate. The scan four weeks later was a lot better , and we just had another one today which showed them being obviously a lot smaller than most babies but still within the parameters, especially for twins. They are both measuring just about 4 pounds each.
As for me I've had lots of ups and downs healthwise ... Had quite a few more hospital visits and admits... I've developed what is called postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, high blood pressure , I have a tad bit of kidney damage now, and also it's of issues with swallowing and nerve compression. I also managed to develop the APS clotting syndrome, and I am borderline gestational diabetic ... I'm also spilling a little bit of protein and contracting like a mofo... Dilated to about one right now, so far not progressing any further thankfully.... It's been a super long and crazy road, but totally worth it!!!
We have everything ready for the babies... Cribs are up rock and plays are ready.... Car seats and double strollers prepared... Clothes are washed and put away , and we have a pretty good stash of both disposable and cloth diapers ... It's really hard to believe that we are actually here... And getting ready to welcome these little ones home!!!
I have so much I want to write but I am so tired and I am so not good with words right now ... Partially because I'm exhausted but also partially because I am so incredibly emotional and excited about everything ... So I'll leave it at that... I'll try to make another post and add some pictures ... I'm using my phone and unfortunately the blogger app has been deleted, and I don't have a working computer to be able to upload images on right now ....
